Mark Battles

Originally established a name for himself through street battles and freestyle competitions, Mark Battles is most known for his witty punchlines and creative metaphors, as well as his ability to obtain a strong female following.

Mark Battles has been passionately rapping and creating mixtapes since 2006.  As a young artist, his original songs have been widely released, including ITunes, Djpanic.net, indyhiphop.com and Indyrap.com. Mark Battles’ most recent single, ”Supa Fly N*gga” featuring Young Phenom and Bug$y, available on the Munkiboient.com,  has set him aside from other artists in the city due to a different sound and more lyrical approach. He is currently working on an untitled mixtape expected to be released Summer of 2011.

Mark Battles co-founded Team Munki Boi, which is a label and promotional group under Munki Boi Ent, founded by G. Fresh. Mark Battles alongside DJ Yung 1 first gained attention by their strong internet promotions.  G. Fresh seen their hard work and dedication and decided to call them in for a meeting.  The rest is history.
