Yung Tone

Up and coming artist, Yung Tone, is becoming a force to be reckoned with on the Midwest hip hop scene. Fairly new to the industry, he began rapping in 2004 as a sophomore in high school. Since then, he has captured the attention of many with the releases of several acclaimed mixtapes beginning with, “I’m Here Now,” recorded with DJ Reddy Rock of Indy. In that number of onlookers was artist and CEO of Munkiboi Entertainment, G-Fresh, with whom he recorded the hit single “On My Momma,” which recently debuted on MTV. At age 23, the Indianapolis, IN native is making power moves, using the influence of the hip hop underground scene as a platform for establishing his name. Currently aligned with Munkiboi Entertainment, Yung Tone is making waves. With the release of the mixtape masterpiece, “Rubberband Lingo,” and most recently, “Rubberband Lingo 2,” he has sparked a serious buzz throughout the Midwest, creating a strong fan base in a very fickle market. The true to life aura of his music is what seems to captivate his audiences, and keep him relevant as an artist. The popularity of songs such as “Ghetto Superstar,” “Water,” and “Maxie” have made him a celebrity of sorts in the region. This fact is all too apparent each time he does a show, or shouts out a call for a video shoot in the area and shuts down entire neighborhoods at a moment’s notice with his fans flooding the sets in support of him! The future looks bright for this talented star in the making.
